Senior Consultant, Wealth - Moncton, NB or Halifax, NS

As the Atlantic Senior Consultant for Wealth residing in Moncton, NB or Halifax, NS and working remotely you will provide highly advanced education, practice management, tax and estate planning and complex case consultation on investment products. You will work closely with Advisors and Distribution Management teams to achieve wealth goals through implementation of solutions for all wealth needs and offering product expertise for high-end investment cases.

 

What you’re responsible for:

  • Helping Advisors to build business plans, including determining goals that assess and improve their business model, segmenting and defining ideal clients and providing value to enhance client experience.
  • Assisting Advisors to address their most pertinent wealth business challenges, including business strategy, human resources, wealth processes, marketing, transitions and network partnerships.
  • Supporting, assisting and developing all items associated with the Wealth line of business and providing on-going sales support to distribution channels including Joint Field Work, detailed case analysis and providing well thought-out solutions that meet client objectives.
  • Preparing, updating and implementing business plans, developing tactical plans to meet annual growth and retention targets, and contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures.
  • Keeping abreast of the competitive market, investment funds and insurance product features of competitors, such as segregated funds, including consulting on and creating awareness of tax and estate planning challenges, industry trends, legislative changes and their impacts.

 

What to expect:

  • You will travel regularly.  
  • You are required to have a valid driver’s license and insurance.  
  • This role involves direct contact with clients and/or service providers in their environment.    
  • Extended work hours, including evenings and weekends, will be required.   
  • You will be subject to a Criminal Record and Consumer History background check as a condition of employment, in the event you are the successful candidate.

To join our team:

  • You have 7-9 years of progressive experience and knowledge in retail and wholesale wealth distribution and/or estate, retirement or financial planning.
  • You have a post-secondary degree in Business, Finance, or related discipline.
  • You have the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.
  • You hold the Mutual Fund License and Life License Qualified Program (LLQP).
  • You have sales experience in the financial services industry, including familiarity with advisor practice management.
  • You are bilingual English and French
