Distribution Compensation Specialist - One Year Contract

Our Distribution & Sales Support team aspires to maximize the success of our distribution partners and clients. Our knowledgeable and trusted team deliver essential information and support services, with an emphasis on enhancing performance and guiding professional development. We think strategically to build sales and business leadership skills that enable our partners to achieve excellence. As the Distribution Compensation Specialist you will be the subject matter expert and central point of contact for field management regarding agent contracting and compensation. You will build effective relationships with business partners and provide timely advice and functional guidance, to ensure contracting and compensation for agents is accurately maintained and administered.

 

What you’re responsible for:

  • Processing commission payments and rate changes, conducting audits, resolving compensation discrepancies and recommending changes to improve efficiency and accuracy.

  • Managing onboarding, contracting, and agency hierarchy for all contracted advisors and agencies in the distribution systems.

  • Interpreting, investigating and analyzing escalated policy or program inquiries and complex issues, to provide timely resolution to business partners.

  • Leading and administrating new or intricate financial arrangements and acting as a liaison with legal to draw up required documents, agreements and contracts to verify accuracy and compliance.

  • Developing, updating and maintaining distribution processes, manuals, forms and checklists and providing procedural or technical guidance to users of distribution systems and applications.
     

What to expect:

  • You will travel occasionally.  

  • Extended work hours, including weekends, may be required during peak periods.  

  • Strict confidentiality with respect to employee’s employment records and other personal information. 

  • This role may involve direct contact with clients and/or service providers in their environment.  

  • You will be subject to a Criminal Record and Consumer History background check as a condition of employment, in the event you are the successful candidate.

To join our team:

  • You have two years of experience in Human Resources, Payroll, Accounting or Sales Compensation.

  • You have a post-secondary degree in Business Administration or a related discipline.

  • You hold the Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification.
